For Practitioners

If you're a naturopath, functional medicine practitioner or integrative GP, you've probably had patients whose symptoms just don't add up — fatigue, brain fog, sinus congestion, joint pain that doesn't respond the way it should. Sometimes the missing piece isn't in the body at all. It's in the building.

Around 1 in 4 people are genetically susceptible to CIRS (Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome) from water-damaged buildings — I'm one of them, which is how I ended up in this work. As a certified mould inspector who's personally recovered from CIRS, I partner with practitioners to answer the environmental question: is the home part of the problem?

I'm currently on maternity leave, so on-site inspections are paused until 2027 — but the work I do with practitioners' patients is mostly remote anyway, and all of it is available now:

  • Online consultations (from $90) — I talk your patient through their home, exposure history and testing options over Zoom, wherever they are in Australia.

  • Report reviews ($250–$390) — if your patient already has an inspection or remediation report, I'll give an independent second opinion before they spend on remediation.

  • Collaboration — with your patient's consent, I'm happy to share findings so the environmental picture feeds into your treatment plan.

If you'd like to refer a patient or ask whether their situation is one I can help with, email me at info@mouldwise.com.au— or your patient can book directly.

Why Mould Matters for Your Patients

Mould in water-damaged homes can release harmful toxins that contribute to serious health issues, including:

Chronic Illnesses:

Conditions like Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS) affect up to 25% of genetically susceptible individuals. Symptoms may include persistent inflammation, fatigue, memory problems, and difficulty concentrating.

Allergies & Sinusitis:

Mould spores and fragments can trigger allergic reactions and fungal sinusitis, especially in those with pre-existing respiratory conditions. Symptoms often include congestion, sneezing, and facial pressure.

Systemic Effects:

Mycotoxins and microbial VOCs can disrupt the neurological, immune, and hormonal systems—potentially impacting everything from mood and sleep to immune regulation and endocrine balance.

Why Partner with Jess?

I've been through mould illness myself — the testing, the remediation, the recovery. That lived experience, plus my certifications, means I bridge the gap between the building and your patient's health, and your patients get someone who truly understands what they're going through.
